Announcing our Design Team

Get ready to be enabled and inspired! MBA would like to introduce you to our new design team. They will be sharing their creations every month here and on their own blogs. So be sure to visit often. Ok (drumroll please) here they are....the team...

Cheryl
I'm 27, recently moved from England to Brussels (Belgium) with my fiancé, and am a home-based freelance editor. I have been crafting for about 6 years, although I always made cards and mini-books when I was a kid. I would probably say my style is freestyle, but I do like to try all kinds of styles - it's fun to experiment with new techniques and new looks. I always have a thousand ideas crashing around in my head, and various 'To Do' lists lying around the place, but never enough time! Crafting is such a soothing process for me - my job involves staring at words all day, so crafting is the perfect antidote. My blog: http://craft-thing.blogspot.com/

Crystal
Hello, my name is Crystal and I am from Goshen, Ohio (suburb of Cincinnati).  I am a SAHM and I run a photography studio out of my home and on location.  My blog:  http://bloomingincolor.blogspot.com/

For as long as I can remember I have been crafting.  I sew, home school, cross stitch, embroider, en-caustic wax work, bead, stamp, card make, scrapbook and sketch.  My love of stamping and scrap booking began about 12 years ago and viscerally when my first husband was killed.  I needed an outlet for myself, the grieving process, and for my son.  I was always afraid something was going to happen to me and my son would not know the story behind the pictures.  I wanted him to read about his dad, how we met, our first home, and the kind of man he was.   It was also a wonderful avenue for my son to explore.  He would sit down and write to his dad or make a mini book about the dog while I was scrapping.  We would sit and talk, laugh, snack..and just be!  I was determined to keep him a kid because the baggage of losing his dad was too big for him to carry.  He was 5 1/2 then and he is now 17.  He is a handsome, young, Christian man who is obsessed with CREW (rowing).  When he is not home he is at the lake rowing or running.  I am now remarried (4 years in June) to a wonderful godly man that is a perfect fit for our family.  He definitely understands my mini book obsession and both of them were thrilled that I made this DT.  I think more than anything they were thrilled that maybe they would be off the hook for having to give their input about the color scheme or which embellishment I should use on the current mini I am working on.  I am blessed in so many ways......Life is Good!

Jenna
Hi, my name is Jenna Kellso and I am a wife and SAH mother of 3 from Chandler, AZ.  I have been scrapbooking for over 13 years!  My primary goal is to live a life that honors God.  My family and home are at the center of this goal.  I strive to reflect Faith, Family, and Hospitality in my paper crafting, as well.  I enjoy all forms of paper arts, and particularly enjoy Mini Books because they allow me to tell a complete story with one theme.  I attend Grace Bible Church in Chandler. Melod
Hello!! My name is Melody and I'm a mini album addict. I live in Michigan with my fabulous husband and beautiful daughter. I'm a stay at home mom and love it!! I've been scrapping for about 13 years now. I started making mini's a few years back to send to my grandparents. It was a nice way for them to store them and Granny ended up putting the new one's in her purse to show everyone when she was out!! I really like the tags, pockets and hiding places that can be added to mini's. I also like that I can add more lumpy things to a mini than to my regular layouts. I'm so excited to have been chosen for the design team. I hope you enjoy my creations and will be inspired by them.

I can’t wait to meet everyone and swap tips to make my books better.

Sandra
My name is Sandra and scrapbooking has seriously taken over my life, breathing and passions. I have been creating scrapbook art and other scrapbook related items for about 4 years now.   I thoroughly enjoy teaching scrapbooking/paper piecing classes and passing ideas on to others. I am blessed with 8 very active grand-kids and when I am not scrappin' I am usually doing fun things with them.  You can find me and many of my items on my personal blog.   http://t42originals.blogspot.com   Please feel free to check it out and if I can ever be of assistance to you just let me know.  Let’s enjoy this wonderful "scrap journey” and learning all kinds of new "scrappy things".

Wirda
"Hi everyone! Greetings from Singapore! I’m Wirda. I am humbled to be on the team. I took on scrapbooking as a hobby in 2008, after losing my father to cancer. Then onwards, I realize how precious every memory of him and of everyday life was. When I am not scrapping, I am a special educator. My inspirations come from everyday things like nature and colours. In my mini books, I enjoy experimenting with inks and other mediums. You can find me here at my blog. I thank ‘Mini Book Anonymous’ for giving me this opportunity to share this scrappy journey of mine with the world. So let’s embark on this wonderful adventure together and have loads of fun!
